Cancellation Policy
| Date changes are only possible if initiated min. 30 days prior to arrival and will be surcharged by 10% extra fee |
| Cancellations within min. 30 days to arrival will be refunded by 50% of the paid costs |

West Papua, one of Indonesia's many islands, has one of the world's most diverse underwater ecosystems and it has one of the most colourful bird kingdoms on Earth. Raja Ampat, meaning four kings, is a specific area within Indonesia, including West Papua. The name refers to the four biggest islands within the Indonesian archipelago (Batanta, Waigeo, Misool and Salawati) and originates from the time of maharajas. The area covers 42,000 km2 including 2500 limestone islands covered shore to shore by untouched, ancient rainforests.
The forest canopies are home to myriads of parrots disturbing the piece of this ancient land. Black and white cockatoos enjoy this paradise as well singing even louder. The tree crowns provide home to the beautiful bird of paradise with the most amazing plumage on display. Die Inselwelt der indonesischen Provinz West Papua beherbergt einige der weltweit vielfältigsten Korallenriffe und eines der buntesten Vogelparadiese. Der Name der Region, Raja Ampat, erinnert an die ehemaligen Rajas und bedeutet übersetzt "Vier Könige" - ein Hinweis auf die vier größten Inseln dieser Region (Batana, Waigeo, Mosool und Salawati). Auf einer Fläche von insgesamt 42.000km2 erstrecken sich weitere 2.500 kleinere und größere Inseln, deren Kalkfelsen beinahe bis zum Meeresufer von unberührtem Regenwald bedeckt sind.
Verschiedenste Papageienarten lärmen über den Bäumen, in der Lautstärke nur von weißen und schwarzen Kakadus übertroffen. In den Baumkronen thronen einzigartige, nur in dieser Region beheimatete Paradiesvögel in pompösem Federkleid. Im dichten bodennahen Buschwerk stößt man immer wieder auf Kasuare und Buschhühner.

Az Indonéziához tartozó Nyugat-Pápua szigetvilága őrzi Földünk legváltozatosabb korallvilágát és legszínesebb madárvilágát. A térség neve, Raja Ampat, a hajdani rádzsákra emlékeztetve azt jelenti Négy Király, mely a szigetvilág 4 legnagyobb szigetére utal (Batanta, Waigeo, Misool, Salawati). A 42 ezer km2-nyi területen még további 2500 kisebb-nagyobb sziget mészkőszikláit szinte a vízpartig érintetlen esőerdők borítják.
A fák fölött kisebb-nagyobb papagájok hangoskodnak. A fehér és a fekete kakadúk még a papagájokat is túlkiabálják. A lombkoronában meghökkentő tollazatú, kizárólag itt előforduló paradicsommadarak pompáznak. A sűrű aljnövényzetben kazuárba vagy telegala tyúkba botlunk.
A partmenti korallszirtek több, mint 500 korallfajnak és mintegy 1300 halfajnak biztosítanak élőhelyet. Egy neves ausztrál tudós egyetlen búvármerülés során 283 halfaj egyedét azonosította - mindössze 60 perc alatt. Ez több, mint a Karibi szigetvilág és ugyanannyi mint a Vörös-tenger összes halfaja.
